I moved to San Jose with my family when I was two and I love it here, go Warriors! I'm currently attending school and work for Anita Shahbazian State Farm office part-time. Also, I recently got my licenses in Property and Casualty. Even though I'm new to the Insurance industry, Anita has taught me a lot and I'm always looking forward to learning new things. My unique journey to becoming a State Farm agent involves traveling, living and studying in four continents. I was born in Lushoto, Tanzania referred to by the Europeans as the Switzerland of Africa.
My family then travelled to United Kingdom via a brief stay in India. In England I graduated from school and enrolled in college to achieve a Diploma in Cosmetologist.
I emigrated to Canada and had three children. Sadly, I was widowed and I decided to relocate to California accompanied by my three daughters. Soon after our arrival, I re-married to an old family friend who happened to be a State Farm agent!
Together we lived, breathed and worked State Farm for 30 years relishing every moment of serving the community. Since his retirement last year, I’ve continued working in the same office with the new agent, Anita.
State Farm has been a life line for me and provided a community for all my family. I enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories and helping them with their insurance needs. I consider myself very fortunate to be one of those people that love what they do.
